Interview with Iranian DJ Behnam, on The World: Global Hit Podcast, December 2005:
         President Ahmadinejad is subtly eliminating Western music, including classical music, from Iranian radio and TV. However, that doesn’t stop DJ Behnam from playing music in the Tehran underground music scene. Behnam also travels several times a month from Tehran to Dubai to DJ. At the airport in Tehran, Behnam has to be extremely careful not to be caught with his Western records. In this interview, Behnam declares that he loves music and that the Iranian regime “is not going to stop me.”

Interview with Iranian Jew, Roya Hakakian, on the Around the Table Podcast, brought to you by the Orthodox Union (OU.)
         Roya Hakakian is an Iranian Jewish writer and film producer. Her memoir of growing up a Jewish teenager in Iran, is titled, Journey from the Land of No: A Girlhood Caught in Revolutionary Iran. The memoir has received many accolades, including Barnes and Noble's Pick of the Week. Roya is also the author of two collections of poetry in Farsi. Her opinion columns, essays, and book reviews have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal. Additionally, Roya's most recent film "Armed and Innocent," is a short documentary about the involvement of underage children in wars around the world.
