The IJC has become one of the best and most exciting organizations around, and its success is measured by the hard work, enthusiasm and effort put into making IJC a truly elite and exciting organization!
The Iranian Jewish Club was created by Pedram Tabibi, the founder and President, in November of 2002. The first and original IJC was and is at New York University. One year later in 2003, Pedram and Allen Azarkian formed the IJC at Hofstra University. Then, in September of 2004, IJCNY was created by Pedram Tabibi. IJCNY serves to cross-advertise IJC events at the various university locations and well as advertise other organizations and their great events. IJCNY also holds events on Long Island, in Queens and of course New York City. There are currently plans for several more IJC groups. Several colleges and universities, such as St. Johns University and Queens College, also have IJC representatives on campus.
IJCNY now includes several clubs, the IJCNY website, merchandise, it's own logo, a mascot and much more. Below, you can see the current officers of the several IJC clubs. Also, a history of the IJC from it's start as well as several interesting documents and notes. Enjoy and remember that "If there's one club with which to be, that club's the IJC!"
The purpose of the Iranian Jewish Club is to unite people of common culture and descent and to foster an environment that not only closely explores the ever-expanding future of Iranian Jews in America but also allows members everywhere to make the most of their experience with the IJC through various and exciting activities.
